Choice-making—why Dionysus Devon Cattery? So, why buy a Devon Rex kitten from DDC Cattery?
Our team consists of highly motivated and skilled specialists.
Fifteen years ago, we fell in love with the Devon Rex breed and set out with one clear ambition: to elevate it to a whole new level rather than simply becoming another breeder. We conducted extensive research worldwide to select only the finest breeding studs and queens from top champion bloodlines. Price was never a concern; we were determined to work exclusively with the very best. This dedication has allowed us to consistently produce exceptional Devon Rex kittens with an outstanding show and breeder quality ratio. Our goal has always been to improve the breed. Today, our Devon Rex kittens display a robust yet slender, muscular structure with a wide chest and strong, athletic legs, giving them a surprisingly powerful and nimble appearance. When we look at the beautiful kittens we have available today, we are incredibly proud of how much the quality has evolved over the years. You will never find a Dionysus Devon Rex with small dark spots on a brown coat—all our cats boast vibrant, large, and striking colors. Thanks to this commitment, Dionysus Devon Rex cats are now winning championships around the globe. We have proudly shipped show- and breeder-quality kittens to 35 different countries, and the list continues to grow.
For the health and safety of our devon rex kittens and their mothers, we do not allow public visits to our home. If you have a confirmed reservation for a litter, you can meet your kitten’s parents when you pick up your Devon Rex kitten. This will happen on the agreed-upon date, when your Devon Rex kitten is nine weeks old or older! Thank you so much for your understanding!

All the images of my Devon Rex cats for sale on this webpage were mostly shot when they were eleven or twelve weeks old. Although many breeders give their kittens as young as eight weeks old, we want to give our infants more time to grow and develop. Thanks in part to the additional attention and care they get from their moms, Devon Rex kittens for sale develop balanced temperaments. I let them wean naturally since their mothers love them so much.

OUR DAMS & SIRES
You can tell that a male Devon Rex cat is a legitimate descendant of the breed just by looking at him. A male Devon Rex cat can weigh over 10 kg and grow to an astonishing size. Male Devon Rex cats are incredibly amiable and kind despite their intimidating appearance; they are not at all hostile or vindictive. Like all Devon Rex cats, all of our male cats enjoy playing energetic games, particularly those involving water. Male Devon Rex cats inherited their love of water from their wild forebears, making it a unique component. We screen all of our male and female Devon Rex cats for inherited genetic disorders. For this reason, we are confident in our Devon Rex kittens' strong health.
DON’T GET RIPPED OFF!!
Over the years, these scammers have become very skilled at making their operations look convincing. Their websites often appear quite legitimate, making it difficult to tell the difference between real and fake breeders. However, there are several important red flags you should watch out for. Be very cautious of anyone who claims to breed multiple different cat breeds. Breeding cats is an extremely expensive, time-consuming, and demanding process, successfully managing even one breed is challenging enough. Another major warning sign is seeing dozens of kittens listed for sale at the same suspiciously low price. For example, if you see Devon rex kittens priced under $1,000, it’s almost certainly a scam. Finally, never trust sellers who insist on payment through Western Union or Bitcoin. These payment methods are nearly impossible to trace, and once you send the money, the scammers often disappear completely after a few follow up messages, taking your money with them and leaving you without a kitten.
Welcoming Your New Devon Rex Kitten
The day has finally come! Your beautiful Devon Rex kitten has arrived after months of waiting. It is time to prepare your house for your new family member, even if the wait may have seemed never-ending. Although the adjustment can be a little difficult, you can make sure that your kitten's arrival goes well and they are at ease in their new environment if you prepare ahead of time
Arrival and First Impressions
It is preferable to start with a modest, peaceful space, like a bathroom, when your kitten arrives. Your kitten will be able to explore without feeling overpowered thanks to this. After setting up a litter box, food, and water, let your kitten exit the carrier by themselves. If they are reluctant, you can gently entice them out with a feather teaser toy. When they emerge, show them the food/water bowls and litter box, and give them a little wet food to help them get used to it.
Introducing Other Pets and Stress
It is important to wait until your Devon Rex kitten is completely at home and at ease with your family before introducing any other pets. Your new kitten may form stronger bonds with your current pets than with you and your family if they are introduced to other pets too soon. Keep in mind that your kitten has already experienced a difficult transition—moving to a new house without their siblings, traveling, and acclimating to strange sounds, scents, and environments. Because cats and kittens are skilled at concealing their discomfort, it is crucial to exercise patience, as these changes can exacerbate stress.
You can gradually start introducing your kitten to other pets when they have had time to get used to it. Let them sniff each other from a distance and begin with a closed-door introduction. You can then move on to a visual introduction in which they can see one another without actually interacting. In addition to lowering stress levels, this methodical approach enables your kitten and your other pets to safely become accustomed to one another.
It is crucial to keep to your kitten's usual diet and refrain from making significant dietary changes too soon because stress from the changeover can occasionally cause soft stools. Bengal kittens enjoy interactive play, so giving them a wand toy can be a great way to help them unwind and bond with you during this time. Kittens typically consume less over the first several days as they become used to their new environment. Give them time to settle in and exercise patience. To build trust and foster a favorable association with you, you can play with them, sit close by, or feed them food.

Devon Rex Breed Origin.
The Devon Rex breed originated from the Cornish Rex. In the early 1950s, the Cornish Rex gained fame in England as the first curly-coated domestic cat, creating significant excitement at cat shows and in the media. After reading about this unique breed, Beryl Cox from Devonshire contacted the breeders regarding her own curly-haired kitten named Kirlee. The Cornish Rex team purchased Kirlee for 25 pounds, hoping she was genetically related. However, breeding attempts revealed that Kirlee was genetically distinct, as she only produced straight haired kittens when mated with Cornish Rex cats. As a result, breeders decided to develop her line separately, officially establishing the Devon Rex as a new and distinct breed. The first Devon Rex cats arrived in the United States in 1968 and were quickly recognized by all major cat registries, including the (CFA) and (TICA) Association.
